The Georgia Debate Union had a very strong finish to the 2009-2010 debate season at the National Debate Tournament in Berkeley, CA. UGA CL (Brittany Cambre & Mike Lacy) finished as an Octafinalist and had a 6-2 record in the preliminary rounds, including wins over the University of Texas, the University of Kansas, Wake Forest University, and Trinity University.

Notes:
1. Rounds will *START* at 8:00am. All debates will be in Park Hall. True of both Open and Novice.
2. Judges: report to Park Hall and pick up your ballot by **** 7:45 AM ****, or you may be replaced and your school charged for tournament-provided judging.
3. Open will clear to an Octa and Novice will clear to a Quarterfinal.
4. Awards will follow the first elimination debate.
UGA graduate assistant coaches Rob Mulholand and John Turner recently squared off in a public debate about nuclear weapons policy.
