Were the elim sides entered correctly? If so, the aff won 14 of 15 debates—the neg only prevailed once in the octas (Westminster AT d. Chattahoochee CS) and only picked up one ballot from the quarters on. Crazy.

Bill --

Sides are not correct -- but results are.

Would be sorta crazy -- but possible.

Next blog topic - what goes in to UGA preparing for NDT?  What do the teams do?  What do the other debaters do?  What does the supporting cast of coaches, assistant coaches, grad students, etc. do?  Is this UGA's first paperless NDT?  How does that affect things?  Please include photos.

Wozzo - we should have that blog post shortly.  Photos included.

Looking at the results, is the Kempsville team as in Kempsville from Virginia Beach? If so, it's nice to see that Tidewater schools find their way to Athens. My alma mater came every year while I was at UGA (1991-1995) and few years after that. Perhaps it was because the coach was my mother.

Pat - That is the Kempsville from Virginia Beach.  They do a lot of national travel, apparently, and are generally an elims team.  I got to talk to John Cowan, their coach, during the tournament.  Was glad to see them, too - Len

Given that statistically this year favors the NEG and tournament results across the board support that, it seems quite odd that all but one of the 15 elimination rounds went to the Affirmative teams. That is what is called a major anomoly!

Curious --

As is mentioned above, the sides reflected in the results are computer-generated results. Anomolous, yes, but not related to bias in debate.
