Dear UGA Debate Alumnus,
I am writing to invite you to the Georgia Debate Reunion scheduled for April 16-17, 2010. I will be serving as the co-host of the event with Dr. Richard Huseman. As many of you know, Dick Huseman was the very successful Director of Debate in the 1960s and 1970s. We hope that the reunion brings together several generations of Georgia Debaters for an eventful weekend.
Weekend event options include a round of golf at UGA Golf Course, a tour of the Botanical Gardens, or a guided tour of Historic North Campus. The entire group will convene in the afternoon for a debate. We’ll conclude the day with a reception at 5:30 p.m. followed by dinner in the Savannah Room at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. We have reserved a block of rooms at the Georgia Center. You can use this page to make reservations. You can also call them at 800.488.7827 to receive the group rate. The block of rooms expires on March 16, so please make a room reservation before that date. When making your reservation, be sure to let them know you are with the Georgia Debate Reunion and reference #69731.
Please R.S.V.P. to us by Friday, March 26 so we can finalize preparations for the weekend. You can R.S.V.P. on the website or at the Georgia Debate Alumni Reunion Facebook page.
Jennifer Messer, our Development Director, is collecting the dinner/registration fee of $75. The fee includes a tax deductable $25 contribution to the UGA Debate Fund. You can send Jennifer a check made out to the Arch Foundation. Her mailing address is:
